About The Author:- Khomdon Singh Lisam, educated at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh (1972); AIIMS, New Delhi (1981) ; Leeds University, U.K. (1992) ; University of California, USA; and Universtiy of Chula long korn, Bangkok. He worked as the head of the National AIDS Control Programme in Manipur (1995-98), as Project Director of the Manipur State AIDS Control Society (1998-2003), as a resource person in Myanmar, Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal and South Africa, as UNAIDS advisor in Durban (2000), as consultant in the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), New Delhi. Presently, he is working as the Chairman and Executive Director of the AIDS Consortium, New Delhi. ,Suchitra Lisam is presently working as a Senior Manager of Knowledge Management and HIV/AIDS in the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescents, New Delhi. She is looking after the HIV/AIDS projects in Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka under the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescents.
